Authentication template messages

Authentication templates are specifically designed for sending one-time passwords (OTPs) and verification codes. They have a lower conversation cost than marketing or utility templates.

Structure

Authentication templates have a fixed format: a body with a code parameter and an optional autofill button that lets the user copy the code with one tap. No custom body text is allowed.

Best practices

Set a short expiry time for OTPs. Include the code length in your application's instructions. Use the autofill button for the best user experience.
