How to downgrade your WhatsApp Business API number

In some cases, you may want to move a phone number from the API back to the WhatsApp Business App. This is called a downgrade.

Downgrade process

1. Disconnect the number from SendBlix in Settings > WABA. 2. Wait for the number to be fully released (this can take up to 24 hours). 3. Install the WhatsApp Business App and register the number. 4. Complete the verification process in the app.

What you lose

Downgrading means losing access to multi-agent inbox, bulk broadcasting, chatbot flows, and API integrations. Message history in SendBlix will be retained in your workspace but no new messages will flow.
