How to increase your WhatsApp broadcast message limit
Meta messaging tiers, quality rating, and Business Manager limits — from 250/day to unlimited.
You can send unlimited campaign messages over time, but Meta caps how many unique recipients you can reach in each 24-hour window. That cap is your broadcast (messaging) limit. SendBlix campaigns count toward the same limit Meta enforces on your WhatsApp Business Account.
Starting limit: 250 unique recipients per day
When your API number first goes live, you can broadcast to up to 250 unique users per 24-hour period. This is Meta's default for new Business API accounts.
First upgrade: 250 → 2,000 per day
To reach Tier 1 (2,000 unique recipients per day), you typically need to:
- Send messages to at least 1,000 unique opted-in contacts within 30 days
- Keep your WhatsApp quality rating green (high) throughout — avoid spammy copy and honor opt-outs
- Complete Meta Business Verification and display name approval (Settings > WABA in SendBlix)
Meta broadcast tiers (24-hour unique recipients)
- Tier 1: 2,000 unique users per day
- Tier 2: 10,000 unique users per day
- Tier 3: 100,000 unique users per day
- Tier 4: Unlimited unique users per day
How to move to the next tier
Meta promotes your account automatically when both conditions are met:
- Your quality rating is not low (aim for green / high)
- You message at least half of your current daily unique limit within a rolling 7-day window
Examples
If your limit is 2,000 per day, send campaigns to at least 1,000 unique recipients within the next 7 days. Meta may raise you to 10,000 on day 8. If you reach 1,000 unique recipients on day 1, the upgrade can happen as early as day 2.
If your limit is 10,000 per day and you want 100,000, message at least 5,000 unique recipients within 7 days while keeping quality high.
Quality rating matters
Blocks, reports, and policy violations slow or block tier upgrades. Use utility-focused templates where appropriate, clear opt-in lists, and pause campaigns if quality drops to yellow or red in Meta Business Manager or SendBlix Settings > WABA.
What happens if you exceed your limit?
You cannot deliver to recipients above your current tier cap. Meta may return an error such as: "Audience size exceeding remaining quota, some messages may not be delivered." Reduce your campaign audience to fit today's remaining quota, or wait until the 24-hour window resets.
Business Manager: one shared limit
Broadcast limits apply at the Meta Business Manager level, not separately per SendBlix workspace or phone number. If you operate multiple WhatsApp numbers under the same Business Manager, they share one daily unique-recipient pool. Sending 10,000 messages from any one number uses that day's limit for all numbers under that manager.
When quality stays high, Meta can raise the shared limit (for example from 10,000 to 100,000 within 1–7 days). The new cap applies to every WhatsApp asset under that Business Manager.
Limit stuck at 2,000?
Meta controls tier upgrades; SendBlix cannot manually raise your cap. Keep broadcasting compliant template messages to unique, opted-in contacts on a steady schedule. Tier increases are automatic when activity and quality meet Meta's rules — there is no manual support ticket to force a higher limit.
Using limits in SendBlix
Before launching a large campaign, check your remaining quota on the dashboard or Settings > WABA. SendBlix shows credit costs per recipient; Meta's tier limit is separate and caps how many unique numbers you can message per day. Start with smaller lists, confirm delivery and quality, then scale audience size as your tier increases.
